SPOKANE-- A traffic stop this week lead to the arrest of a prolific Spokane criminal on Wednesday.
On October 8th, Spokane Police Department Patrol Anti-Crime Team (PACT) conducted a stop of a vehicle with expired tabs and a driver without his seatbelt on. Police identified the driver as John Whiteaker/Beck, a prolific offended.
Whiteaker/Beck and his passenger, Thomas McMillan, both had outstanding warrants.
Whiteaker was searched and was found to be in possession of a generic form of Adderall, a Schedule II narcotic. He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
On October 10th around 2 p.m. Spokane Police Department Targeted Crimes Detectives responded to the 200 Block of East Rockwell to attempt to locate Briahna K Lane, 20, for felony warrants for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
Lane was located exiting the home of John Whiteaker/Beck.
Neighbors indicated that there was a constant stream of traffic coming in and out of that location. Lane and Whiteaker/Beck were known to be frequent visitors.
A search warrant was obtained on the address and drugs, a shotgun, and a handgun with its serial numbers filed off were found inside the residence.
Whiteaker was booked into Spokane County Jail for his outstanding warrants for Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Trafficking Stolen Property, and Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to deliver. Whiteaker/Beck has been arrested numerous times over the past six months and remains in jail on a $15,000 dollars bond.
Lane was booked for her felony warrant for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
