SPOKANE, Wash. -- Spokane Police sought the public’s help to identify two robbery suspects who threatened to stab and shoot a witness and Fred Meyer store employees.

It happened Saturday at the store near E. 3rd Ave. and S. Thor Street.

When store security officers attempted to stop the male and female on suspicion of shoplifting, the couple threatened to stab the workers.  Additionally, when a witness attempted to take pictures of the suspects, the female suspect lunged at the witness and threatened to stab her too.  Meanwhile, the male suspect also threatened to shoot the witness, according to authorities.

The suspects fled the store and left in a silver Dodge Neon.  The female suspect was described as a late twenties to early thirties Hispanic woman, between 5’5” and 5’6” tall.  Police also said she had a slight build and had long, dark hair with streaks in it.

The male suspect was described as a white male, 5’11” tall, and bald with a stocky build, according to police.

Police are asking that anyone with information about the suspects or who may have witnessed the incident to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
