SPOKANE, Wash. -- A young, single mother hoping to get back on her feet recently found a lot of her major belonging were gone. She said a thief ransacked her storage unit at Zip’s Mini-storage near Francis and Cincinnati.

Calisto Griswold recently went through a divorce and broke her ankle this summer.  She also has a 4-year-old child with autism.

She was hoping to move into her own place in a couple weeks. Now, her furniture is missing.

“I’ve been home with my daughter not able to work for the last four years so it’s really heartbreaking to know somebody can take everything that we own and I have no means of replacing it,” said Griswold.

Griswold plans to start school next week and received housing help so they could finally get into their own home.  Then, on Wednesday night she opened her storage unit to find a lot of things missing.

“Both of my coffee tables and my end tables, dining room table, Cairo cabinets,” said Griswold.

Griswold said family photos and two art pieces worth about $9,000 together are all missing.  A surprising text led her to check her storage unit.

“I had a friend text me saying a friend of a friend saw my wedding pictures along with my couches in a house in Hillyard.” said Griswold, “We would like to have our stuff back. I’m not in the position to replace anything and there is stuff that can only mean something to me."

Anyone with information that can help get her belonging back is asked to call Crimecheck.
