SPOKANE-- Seven suspects have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a burglary ring that earned them more than $150,000 worth of property.
This comes after an extensive investigation by the Spokane Police Targeted Crimes Detectives, which took place over the last several months.
Repeat offender Jon Anderson, 24, was arrested on June 21st at Argonne and Knox while reportedly driving a stolen vehicle from Dishman Dodge on East Sprague. He had been under surveillance prior to this arrest. Kelsi Bendewald, 22, and Milo Iaulaulo, 25, were passengers in the vehicle. As police searched that car, they found thousands of dollars in stolen gold, silver and diamond jewelry.
Officers later searched a hotel room where they stayed in Post Falls. There they recovered tens of thousands of dollars in more stolen property, including the Rose Bowl championship ring belonging to former Chicago Bear Stefan Humphries.
On July 3, police arrested Joseph Whipple, 24, Solomon Monkiewicz, 20, and a juvenile when they were caught burglarizing a home in the 2300 block of West Rainer Court. They were taken to the Spokane County Jail.
Detectives were able to find a home frequented by the group located in the 1800 block of East Decatur. There they found tens of thousands of dollars worth of more property.
Several items are still missing from various victims including:
- Denver Bronco AFC Championship ring
- Gold and diamond Super Bowl Pendant
- High end watches
- Firearms
