SPOKANE-- Court documents revealed what was seized from the home of the man suspected of Kimberly Schmidt’s murder

Daniel Arteaga, 40, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and is charged with 1st degree murder of his girlfriend of over six years and fellow diver.

Court documents say Daniel Arteaga drugged Kimberly Schmidt with Advil P.M. then shot her in the head.

Detectives pulled boxes and bags of evidence from Arteaga's Spokane Valley home

Detectives found a copy of her obituary. Detectives say killers would take items like those as trophies.

Detectives also say Arteaga owed Schmidt a lot of money for diving trips.

Documents show Schmidt’s mother "discovered that Daniel Arteaga would sell firearms on the internet." the money went to a PayPal account associated with a credit card in Kimberly’s name.

Detectives pulled a long list of guns from Arteaga’s home, as well as Schmidt’s.

A friend of Arteaga’s called him an "'end of the world" type guy who routinely stashed supplies in case something bad happened."

Detectives also pulled books about forensics from Arteaga’s home.

He's currently being held at the Spokane County Jail on a $1 million bond.
