SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police are not ruling out that a late night robbery of a Zip Trip in north Spokane could be related to a string of robberies in that area.

Around 11:45 p.m. Thursday a man claiming to have a gun robbed the Zip Trip on West Wellesley and took off with some cash.

Employees never saw a weapon.

The suspect is a short man possibly white or Hispanic wearing a black jacket and black hat with a tattoo on his neck.

Detectives are investigating this right now as an independent crime, but they also told KREM 2 News that it could be related to recent robberies in that area of north Spokane.
