SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Spokane Police Department’s Special Investigative Unit seized drugs and arrested three suspects from a home in what they call a local problem neighborhood.
The served a search warrant to the house in the 1400 block of East Pacific after an investigation into alleged heroin sales there.
The SWAT Team broke into the house and found a syringe loaded with heroin, pre-packaged crack cocaine and various drug paraphernalia, according to police.
Officers arrested Philip P. Moore, 53, and Andrew M. Gasper, 42, inside of the home. The third suspect, 42-year-old Shelly L. Labrie, drove away shortly before investigators served the search warrant. Police were able to catch up with and arrest her.
All three suspects were taken to Spokane County Jail. Labrie and Moore are charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Gasper was booked for an unrelated misdemeanor warrant.
A dead body was found outside of a nearby house on March 1. Police also investigated a shooting within a few blocks of where this search warrant was served this month. The Spokane Police Department says arresting these suspects is part of their effort to reduce crime in problem neighborhoods like this.
