PULLMAN, Wash. -- Police arrested a Pullman man for alleged rape.
The victim told police Alexander Lee Jeung, 19, assaulted her around 1:20 a.m. Thursday in the 300 block of NE Maple Street.
Police say she noticed a man trailing behind her as she walked home. She was soon after tackled and sexually fondled in a parking lot along Maple.
The suspect fled on foot when the woman, 19, screamed.
A witness called police and gave them the suspect’s description. Officers tracked down Jeung, who matched the witness’s report.
Jeung, a student at Washington State University, now faces a second-degree attempted rape charge, along with indecent liberties and fourth-degree assault.
The woman was treated for minor facial injuries at Pullman Regional Hospital.
