SPOKANE-- A new search warrant was filed Wednesday in triple-homicide case involving two children and their mother.

Spokane police said Tracy Ader and her two sons were bound around the neck and allegedly murdered by Dustin Gilman Friday. Gilman also reportedly sexually abused one of the boys, according to information from search warrants released Tuesday. Gilman, 22, killed himself after the crimes. His body was found Monday.

Investigators released new details about the crime Wednesday afternoon.

They now believe the murders happened before 10:00 a.m. Friday morning. A neighbor found their bodies that evening.

Police spent the weekend searching for Ader’s Pathfinder after they found the murdered bodies. They believe Gilman stole her vehicle after killing her and her two sons.

Police said Wednesday that Gilman drove to his friend’s house after the crime but do not suspect his friend, Preston Jahanu, was involved with the murders, nor that he knew about them.

Investigators said Gilman also stole Ader’s cell phone, as well as her son Damien’s. Ader’s husband Nick began receiving text messages just before 10:00 a.m. that Gilman likely sent. Nick received messages at 9:49 a.m. and 9:51 a.m. that said one of their sons had a fever, and Tracy was going to bring him to the hospital.

Nick then received a phone call from Gilman at 9:53 a.m. Gilman reportedly told Nick he was going to the south side to meet a girl.
