SPOKANE, Wash. -- Police nabbed two alleged car thieves in the same block within just minutes of each other.
Officers got the call for a car jacking in the 4100 block of North Division just before 8:30 p.m. Friday.
The victim told police a man put a gun to her head while she was walking to her car. Then he allegedly stole the vehicle.
Police spotted the car leaving Northtown Mall about twenty minutes later. Police say he tried to drive away, but they were able to put up a barricade to stop him.
Michael Lezard, 25, was taken into custody. He was charged with first-degree robbery and possession of a stolen firearm
As police cleared that scene, an officer noticed another stolen car across the street. They were able to arrest this suspect without incident, well. Stephen Link, 46, was charged with possession of a stole motor vehicle, possession of methamphetamine and possession of heroin.
