SPOKANE, Wash.-- Washington State Patrol and local police took one person into custody following a pursuit.

The chase began at Highway 2 and Hayford Road. The suspect was driving a stolen vehicle according to Washington State Patrol.

Tribal Police, Washington State Patrol, Spokane County Police and City of Spokane Police all coordinated the pursuit.

Police set up spike strips near Spokane Falls Community College. The suspect ran over the spikes and continued to drive several miles without a front tire.

According to WSP the suspects car gave out and the man when into a guardrail near Mullen Hill Road. The suspect exited his vehicle, and jumped over the guardrail crossing the northbound lanes of 195.

The suspect ran into a nearby field where a WSP officer was able to apprehend him

The suspect was taken into custody.
