MALOTT, Wash. -- The Okanogan County Sheriff's Office is investigating a murder suicide in Malott on Monday.
Authorities said they responded to a report of shots fired at 12:30 on the 1400 block of Old Hwy 97. When deputies arrived they found two people dead at the scene from gunshot wounds.
Officials said the investigation shows that William T. Bordua, 65, of Okanogan and his wife Anita Bordua had gone to a home they own in Malott to evict Tony J. Halford, 47, who was living there.
Deputies believe the Bordua's were in the bedroom of the home with Halford when an argument broke out. Halford became aggressive toward Anita and William stepped between them.
Authorities said Halford then reached over to the bed and pulled out a semi-automatic .40 caliber pistol and shot William in the chest.
Halford then told Anita the next bullet was for her but instead he walked out to the front porch and shot himself.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
Anita Bordua was not hurt during the incident.
