SPOKANE VALLEY-- Spokane County deputies are investigating a random attack in Spokane Valley. The attack comes just two months after someone randomly stabbed and killed 55-year-old Sharlotte McGill near the Spokane River. That case remains unsolved.

While the two cases show similarities, officials say they are not connected.

Deputies say random cases like this are extremely rare, and they do not want the public to panic.

At this time, the suspects in both cases remain at large.
