SPOKANE, Wash. -- The mother of a fugitive shooting suspect is heartbroken her son is on the lam.
Joshua Graham hasn’t been seen or heard from since he called 911 Monday evening when his girlfriend was shot in the face. Police are looking for him in connection to the shooting.
In 2008, Graham was convicted of burglary and stealing a firearm. He just got out of jail after a five year sentence.
The woman, who wishes only to be known by “Donna," said she lives at the home where the shooting took place, and does not believe her son committed the crime. She said she was not home at the time of the incident, but did not hear any arguing between her son and his girlfriend.
Donna said her son has had trouble with drugs in the past, but that he has been working to stay sober. She is devastated she might lose him again.
The 19-year-old victim was released from the hospital.
Police say if they catch Graham, they plan to pursue charges of First Degree Assault and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
