SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. -- One man is wanted for allegedly robbing three local banks in the space of a week.

Spokane County Major Crimes Detectives have active arrest warrants for 41-year-old Scott Ruziecki for the robberies at the Banner Bank branch in Safeway in Hillyard on August 9, the U.S. Bank branch on Argonne and Trent on August 13, and the Banner Bank branch in Safeway near Gonzaga University Friday.

Investigators believe Ruziecki is armed with a handgun and has made threats to shoot any law enforcement if confronted.  As a result, The Sheriff’s Office has issued a public safety warning to the community.

The latest bank Ruziecki is accused of robbing was located inside the Safeway on East Mission Avenue and North Hamilton Street.  On Friday, investigators said the suspect took off on foot after passing the bank teller a note demanding cash.  Surveillance video captured the suspect in a black hooded sweatshirt and baseball cap.

Officers urge people to call 911 immediately if they see Ruziecki.
