SPOKANE, Wash. -- Customers at a South Spokane carwash and gas station helped authorities catch a suspect car prowler. Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies arrested one man at the Conoco station near 44th and Regal.

A man heading to work spotted the suspect according to deputies. Authorities arrived and tried to tase the suspect twice. They said that the taser had little to no effect because his jacket was so thick.

Authorities credited a worker from nearby ESD 101, Richard Gulling, with tackling the suspect.  Gulling held him down until deputies cuffed him.
