SPOKANE, Wash. -- A man who pleaded guilty to a deadly drive-by shooting in North Spokane was sentenced to more than a decade in prison Wednesday.
Isaiah Schauman will spend just over 10 years behind bars for 2nd Degree Murder.
Detectives said Schauman, 19, killed Fabian McBride June 12, 2013 along N. Atlantic in North Spokane, just off Division St. Schauman was arrested later that month in Pierce County.
McBride's family had said that the victim knew Schauman and they were like family. They also said that Schauman was involved in a break-in at the location where McBride was staying and believed that was the motive behind the shooting.
In October, Schauman pleaded not guilty to additional charges he was facing after being charged in the murder. Detectives said Schauman went on an armed crime spree in the spring of 2013 and was a key player in a string of Craiglist robberies.
