LEWISTON, Idaho -- A police K-9 helped Lewiston police nab a Clarkston man for allegedly carrying narcotics.
Officers pulled over a white Buick for a traffic violation in the 3100 block of Highway 12 around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say the driver and passenger seemed nervous during the traffic stop. When the officer learned both had criminal histories, including narcotics violations, he called for a K-9 unit.
K-9 Lucy sniffed around the car and alerted police to narcotics inside the vehicle.
Officers they found a spoon with methamphetamine residue on it upon searching the car, as well as a baggie of the drug and other paraphernalia on the passenger.
Justus J. Courts, 18, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of methadone without a prescription.
