SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.— A suspect took off with jewelry from Zales in the Spokane Valley Mall on Friday. Deputies with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a theft happened inside the store.

The suspect stole a wedding set worth several thousand dollars and drove away from the scene. Employees at the store described the suspect as a white male, possibly 27-years-old, wearing a dark hoodie and dark jeans.

Authorities later found the vehicle behind the nearby Best Buy. Authorities said the car had been reported stolen from Sacred Heart Hospital. It is unknown at this time if the suspects arrived in this vehicle.

Witnesses said the suspect fled the area behind Best Buy in a different car that hit another car while leaving the area.

Deputies said they are trying to gather surveillance video from local businesses.

Deputy Craig Chamberlin said the surveillance video will be released to the public when it becomes available.

“Hopefully anybody that recognizes this individual will contact us and let us know obviously to help us out with this investigation,” Chamberlin said.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest. People with information are asked to call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-222-TIPS.
