SPOKANE, Wash.—A jury found Jason Flett guilty of murder on Friday for the 2012 killing of his 27-year-old ex-girlfriend, Ramona Childress.
Her family spoke to KREM 2 News following the verdict Friday afternoon.
“Nothing will bring her back but at lease he can't do this to anyone else,” they said.

It took the jury only a few hours to convict Flett of killing Childress and then dumping her body in Elk, Washington. His trial began on Tuesday.
Police charged Flett with the murder in November 2013. Childress had vanished nearly one year before the arrest. An informant said Flett hit Childress several times in the face with a shovel.
