SPOKANE-- A federal judge ruled Thursday to unseal some documents in the Karl Thompson case.
Thompson was found guilty last November of using excessive force and then lying to investigators in the Otto Zehm case.
He has yet to be sentenced.
In 2006 Thompson beat Otto Zehm with a baton, tasered him and then hog tied him.
Zehm died two days later.
Thursday a judge agreed to release the interviews with the jurors in Thompson’s federal trial.
They could be released as early as Friday.
Another motion still on the table is from Thompson’s defense; they want a new trial.
The judge did not rule on that motion Thursday. The judge scheduled arguments on the matter for the end of August.
