SPOKANE – Authorities working the “Operation Red Light” investigation are now asking for help from the prostitutes and johns involved.

Early last month, police busted eight massage parlors in Spokane and arrested the owners for promoting prostitution, money laundering, and criminal profiteering.

Since the bust, police have said they will not go after the prostitutes themselves, or the johns. This is still the case, but investigators say those involved need to come forward with their stories, or authorities will come to them.

The Airway Heights Police Department is leading up the investigation. They said they want to talk to anyone involved in the activity in order to bolster their case against the owners.

Police say if the men and women do not voluntarily come forward, detectives will start knocking on doors.

Several prostitutes are already cooperating, but that is not the case with most of the johns.

Investigators are processing hundreds of items of evidence, including credit card information seized from the spas.
