SPOKANE, Wash.-- Some neighbors living in Spokane’s Hillyard neighborhood said they’re sick of seeing crime, so they are starting to band together.

Dozens of neighbors showed up to a meeting Tuesday to share their concerns on the area and learn how they can reduce crime.

In a series of meetings called “Enuff,” which stands for Every Neighborhood United for Families, people address area problems.

Spokane C.O.P.S. hosted the meetings to teach people how to prevent crime.  It is also used as a way to recruit volunteers to participate in a block watch  About 300 volunteers joined the block watch in the past two years.

Neighbors said the hope is to form relationships with each other and it will force criminals to take their work elsewhere.
