MOSES LAKE, Wash. - Grant County Sheriff’s Deputies early Tuesday nabbed a man in the act of allegedly burglarizing a Moses Lake area business.

Around 2:55 a.m, deputies received a call for a burglar alarm at the Smoke Shack, 4795 Stratford Road Northeast, just north of the Moses Lake city limits.

Three deputies arrived and entered the property. One deputy searched around the back of the business and saw Anthony Walker, 19 of Moses Lake, allegedly prying open a door with a large screwdriver. After a struggle, Walker was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail.

During the investigation, deputies found Walker had allegedly broken a security camera, prowled through a vehicle on the property, and damaged a door while trying to break in with the screwdriver and a pick axe. Damage is estimated at $850.

Walker faces charges of second degree burglary, second degree vehicle prowl, possession of burglary tools, third degree malicious mischief, and resisting arrest.
