Man robs Moscow Pizza Hut, forces employees into freezer

MOSCOW-- A former employee robbed Moscow’s Eastside Marketplace Pizza Hut on Tuesday morning.

Around 10 a.m. a store managers was opening the Pizza Hut when he heard someone knocking on the door according to Moscow Police.

The manager opened the door and a man in a ski mask with a gun forced himself inside and made the manager open the store’s safe.

The suspect was a former employee and knew how their system worked, and how many people would be at the store according to Moscow Police Chief David Duke.

While the manager of the store was opening the safe, two more employees showed up and the robber forced all three of them into the walk-in refrigerator.   

Moscow P.D. was on scene with a perimeter set up as the suspect exited the store. The suspect attempted to flee on foot to a nearby neighborhood. The suspect had something in his had as officers confronted him. An officer then tased the suspect and took him into custody.

The object in the suspect’s hand was determined to be a cell phone.

Police identified Richard Presley Jr., 24, as the robber.  Presley was in possession of a pellet gun.
