SPOKANE, Wash. -- Spokane police arrested three people for property crimes charges a following the investigation of a drive-by shooting earlier this year.

The shooting happened on March 26 in the 500 block of Maxine.

Detectives were led to the suspects during their investigation of that incident. They interviewed Karissa Minoia, 19, Thomas Jones, 21, and a juvenile male at Minoia’s home in the 200 block of E. Wedgewood. Police say they found a stolen firearm, jewelry, drugs and other items there.

In addition to multiple charges all three suspects now face for the stolen property, the juvenile will also face a first-degree attempted murder charge for the drive-by shooting.

After looking into it further, investigators learned the juvenile and Jones are also allegedly responsible for several local car prowlings in the weeks before the shooting incident.

Police believe the suspects were burglarizing homes and vehicles to support a drug habit.
