SPOKANE--Detectives are recommending voyeurism charges for a North Central High School student caught taking pictures of a female student in the girl’s bathroom.

The victim says the teenager snapped a picture of her while she was on the toilet.

Police say the female had no idea he was there until he stuck his face underneath the stall.

The suspect denies the claim, but detectives are still seeking charges.

Police seized the boy’s cell phone and even though they didn’t find any pictures of the incident, they can still charge him with voyeurism.

Charges have been forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.

Voyeurism is a Class C felony which can carry up to 5 years jail time.  If convicted a person may have to register as a sex offender.
