SPOKANE, Wash.--A jury found Brianna Knapp guilty Tuesday for leaving the scene of a fatal wreck where an off-duty Spokane police officer died.
The trial began Monday.
Police said Knapp ran into Kurt Henson in the summer of 2012. She ran into him after he wrecked his motorcycle according to authorities.
The defense called upon witnesses on Tuesday. The prosecution questioned the defense's selection of a defense expert. The expert is a forensic engineer.
The defense's expert testified that the autopsy report in the case did not conclude that Knapp hit Henson.
Knapp, emotionally shaken, also took the stand on Tuesday. While holding back tears she said she was worried at the time of the incident because she was driving without a license or insurance.
