SPOKANE, Wash.--Lawyers for convicted killer Clay Starbuck said their client was bussed to Western Washington on Thursday. He left the Spokane County Jail in the morning.

Starbuck will serve some time in Shelton, Washington for the 2011 murder of his ex-wife, Chanin Starbuck. Lawyers said Starbuck will be evaluated at the Shelton facility. He will later be sent elsewhere to serve out his sentence.
The father of five was convicted of the Deer Park murder in June 2013. Starbuck was later sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Chanin Starbuck was strangled according to her autopsy. Court documents detailed that she was also tortured, suffered ten broken ribs, was tased and sexually violated.
