Suspect arrested for murder of missing Spokane man appears in court

SPOKANE— A man arrested for 2nd Degree Murder will appeared in court Wednesday.

Yukio Ridrb, 21, was arrested Tuesday. Police believe he killed Romero Vivit, 21.

Police say Vivit left a downtown bar early Saturday morning with some friends and was last seen in the area near the carousel. 

A person reportedly found a pile of bloody clothes Monday near the carousel in Riverfront Park.  Spokane officers stood guard over the area Monday night, and it remained closed off to the public through much of Tuesday.

Authorities announced late Tuesday morning that they were investigating an assault at the park. Dive teams were sent to explore the water Tuesday, as well.  A helicopter was used find several locations of interest for divers to search.  Within less than an hour, searches found a body.

Authorities believe it to be Vivit. An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday.
