LEWISTON, Idaho-- Authorities planned an autopsy Monday for an inmate found dead at the Nez Perce County Jail in Lewiston.
Jail staff found Chad Vincent Gardner, 19, unconscious in his cell Saturday. They immediately performed first aid but he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities did not release the circumstances surrounding the death but said an investigation is underway.
