GRANT COUNTY -- Detectives in Grant County are asking the public for help in identifying a man found dead in the Columbia River.

The victim’s body was discovered floating in the Columbia River just south of the I-90 Bridge across from Vantage, Wash. in August. Authorities said there was no identification on the body, which had been in the water for up to one year. An autopsy ruled the cause of death as homicide.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office released a new sketch of what the man may have looked like. He is described as a 40 to 60-year-old white man with dark hair.

Investigators said the man had extensive dental work and likely had abdominal surgery.

Anyone with information regarding the man’s identity is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (509) 754-2011 ext. 468.
