KUNA - A man who was arrested after a Kuna family says he broke into their home, defecated on their floor and flooded their kitchen has been charged with a felony.

Tricia Gillaspy told KTVB she was woken June 15 when a naked stranger walked into her bedroom. Police say 25-year-old Matthew Coomes had been drinking before he entered Gillaspy's house through an unlocked back door. The man is accused of defecating on the carpet and filling the kitchen with water from a spray nozzle on the sink.

Gillaspy's husband called 911 and led the naked man out of the house at gunpoint.

But when officers arrived, they released Coomes after issuing two misdemeanor citations.

Ada County prosecutors upgraded one of those charges to felony malicious injury to property yesterday, more than $1,000 in damage was done to the home. The suspect told officers he did not remember going into the house.

Coomes was booked into the Ada County Jail early Wednesday morning, and released on a $50,000 bond a few hours later. He is set for arraignment July 1.
