SPOKANE, Wash. – Police said two men were taken to the hospital Monday morning, at least one of them with stab wounds, after an apparent altercation.
Authorities said a man in his early 20’s was stabbed near the Fast Eddie's bar in Downtown Spokane.
Spokane Police said they first received a report at about 10:15 a.m. of a stabbing near the Bel Franklin Apartments on N. Division St. and Spokane Falls Blvd.
Medics took one man to the hospital with a stab wound according to police. Officials said that victim told them he had been engaged in a physical altercation with another man who fled the scene.
Police responded to reports of a second man with injuries about 15 minutes later on Gonzaga University’s campus near the soccer field. That man, who officers said was believed to be involved in the original altercation, was taken to the hospital according to police.
Police said the second victim had a serious injury, possibly a stab wound, to his back. Witnesses said they saw the victim stumbling around.
Spokane Police Detectives planned to interview both victims. Police these calls were most likely part of an isolated incident and there was no evidence of any outstanding suspects.
