SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.-- A convicted felon could double her felony convictions if a judge finds her guilty for new crimes she is accused of.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tonya Stewart, 46, on Tuesday after serving a search warrant on the 3000 block of North Hogan Street. It was a result of a lengthy investigation into multiple charges of Identity Theft, Forgery, Money Laundering, and other types of criminal activity.
She faces 22 new felony charges. She has already been convicted of 24 similar felony charges in the past. Investigators said they expect more charges to be filed as the investigation continues.
