BOISE -- A Las Vegas man has admitted stealing more than a $100,000 from ATMs in Idaho and five other western states.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says Clarence Lancaster pleaded guilty Monday to one count of bank larceny for stealing from an ATM at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls.

Prosecutors say in that theft, in July of 2012, Lancaster used several tools to force open an ATM and steal the cash inside.

Lancaster was eventually arrested last January in Arizona.

As part of his plea agreement with prosecutors, Lancaster admitted to 21 separate thefts including some at Boise State University and Idaho State University.

Federal prosecutors say Lancaster stole about $125,000 and caused nearly $90,000 in damages to the machines.

Lancaster faces up 10 years in prison when he's sentenced in January.
