Suspects arrested in connection to Coeur d’Alene drive-by shooting

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho -- Coeur d’Alene Police Detectives arrested two suspects Thursday morning in connection to a drive-by shooting on September 22.

Tyler Yonce and David Carter were arrested and charged with discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling.

Authorities served search warrants and an arrest warrant at the homes of both suspects in Athol, Idaho.

Detectives said at Yonce’s home on N. Red Fish Street they found firearms and ammunition.

Authorities are still trying to figure out the motive for the shooting.

Police have identified the intended victim of the shooting and determined that person lives in an apartment in the area of the shooting. The intended victim was not home at the time.

The shooting is still under investigation.
