WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. -- A second suspect accused of dumping a teenager’s body after he overdosed on methamphetamine has pleaded guilty to charges against him.

James Ramsen pleaded guilty last week to illegal disposal of a body. A judge sentenced him to 30 days in jail.

An anonymous witness told investigators back in March that Donavin Stapert, 17, passed out and died after eating chunks of meth. Court documents say a witness told Whitman County Sergeant he went to a home in Malden owned by Bobby Bilderback and Chastity Bilderback.

Bilderback was arrested with James Ramson and Chastity Bilderback back in March.

The witness said that Stapert died on March 6th according to court documents. The files said Stapert passed out in a hot tub after eating meth. Witnesses said Stapert was then dragged up to a bedroom where he later died. Documents say they then put Stapert’s body in a large safe.

The witness also told investigators that they discussed dumping the body somewhere in eastern or southern Oregon. Police believe that eventually the suspects loaded the safe into a vehicle and dumped the body.  A tip led police to a location near Chattaroy where they found Stapert’s body.

Whitman County and Spokane County authorities found the body buried about four feet underground in a wooded area.
