CLEVELAND -- The man convicted of imprisoning three women in his Cleveland home for a decade while he repeatedly beat and raped them says he isn’t a monster.
Ariel Castro says he’s sick and addicted to pornography. He says he didn’t even plan the first kidnapping.
He says he knows that he was “100 percent wrong.”
He spoke during his sentencing hearing Thursday where a judge could order him to serve life in prison plus 1,000 years.
The 53-year-old Castro pleaded guilty last week to 937 counts including two charges of aggravated murder related to one act of forcing one of his victims to miscarry.
During last week’s hearing Castro said he was a victim of child sex abuse himself and said he had a sex addiction.
