EPHRATA, Wash. (AP) -- The U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force arrested 20 people this week in raids in Grant County.
The raids at Othello, Soap Lake and Ephrata began Monday and wrapped up Thursday, using marshals, Moses Lake police and deputies from Grant, Benton and Spokane counties.
Other news outlets report the raids attracted widespread attention because a Border Patrol helicopter was flying low to help find people who were running or hiding.
Many of the people arrested are wanted on drug charges or arrest warrants from the Department of Corrections.
