PORTLAND -- A Fairview woman was arrested Monday on accusations involving the death of a 10-year-old girl, said police Chief Ken Johnson.
Chandra Ilene Rose was accused of two counts of first-degree felony mistreatment and with recklessly endangering the life of another.
Miranda Crockett, 10, died last at the Kings Garden Apartment in the 2700 block of NE 207th Avenue in Fairview, Johnson said.
The girl's grandmother reported on a funeral fund-raising website that Miranda died unexpectedly at 7:30 a.m. last Saturday.
The case was being investigated by Fairview police and the East Multnomah County Major Crimes Team. Johnson did not provide further details.
