Police in Mill Creek believe a domestic dispute may have led to the deaths of two people at two separate locations Monday.
Officers found a woman dead in an apartment shortly after midnight. A short time later, police said a man crashed his car into a parked semi truck.
Both incidents may have been started by a domestic dispute, according to detectives, but it's not yet known how the victims are connected.
Police arrived at the apartment, located near Main Street and 148th Street Southeast, following a 911 call reporting an argument. Through a window, officers spotted the woman lying dead on the floor, police said.
While the investigation unfolded, a Snohomish County Sheriff's deputy saw a car speeding away from the area.
The deputy followed the car to the area of the 18500 block of 35th Avenue Southeast. Around 12:20 a.m., deputies said the car crashed into a parked semi truck.
The driver, a 29-year-old male from Mill Creek, died at the scene.
Deputies discovered the car the victim was driving is registered to the apartment where the homicide allegedly took place.
Detectives are awaiting a search warrant to enter the apartment.
Details will be posted as they become available.
