MOSES LAKE, Wash. -- Authorities believe a teenager killed in a weekend shooting in Moses Lake was targeted.
Brandon Michael Mende, 16, died after being shot at a party on Turnkey Road, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
Mende was also the victim of a January 20th shooting on Arlington Drive. In that case, he suffered non-life threatening injuries after being chased and shot by an unidentified suspect, said police.
Investigators believe Mende was targeted in both shootings, and the incidents were not random.
Authorities said Mende and witnesses did not cooperate with investigators in the January case and as a result, were unable to arrest any suspects.
Investigators are still searching for witnesses into the second shooting. Anyone with information should contact the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
