SANDPOINT, Idaho -- A company in Sandpoint is cashing in on the Super Bowl.
The owner of Meesha and Mia was asked by the NFL to make women’s clothing for the big game.
The store started back in 2010 by Elizabeth Turley. The company began designing women’s clothing marketed at college sports fans. It started with 10 teams and the store grew more and more in popularity.
The company made Super Bowl apparel for the NFL for the first time in 2012. Now, they are making designs for 31 NFL Teams in addition to the big game.
“We have NFL wives wearing our apparel at a show at Macy’s in Harold’s Square. So that’s really great. Woody Johnson was the first customer to come in and bought 6-faux fur vest,” said owner Elizabeth Turley.
In Sandpoint, they are playing it fair in terms of making both Broncos and Seahawks clothes. Turley admitted that one team does sell a little better than the other.
“Of course the Seahawks. The Seahawks sell more product than any other team in the league right now. So it was perfect for us,” said Turley.
Next week, Turley will fly to Tallahassee, Florida to present at Florida State and show them some championship apparel. Right after that trip, she will head to New York to present her clothing at the Super Bowl.
