SPOKANE—Medics rushed two people to the hospital after a head-on wreck early Friday involving a semi-truck.
Authorities said it happened around 3:45 a.m. on the E. 3900 block of Broadway.
They said the driver of a car crossed over the center line, striking the semi-truck. Medics rushed the passenger in the semi-truck to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the car was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center with minor injuries. The semi-truck driver was not injured.
Authorities said the driver of the car will be cited for DUI and booked on a local misdemeanor warrant when doctors release them from the hospital.
Traffic was reduced to one lane while crews cleared the scene.
