SPOKANE—Medics rushed two people to the hospital after a head-on wreck early Friday involving a semi-truck.

Authorities said it happened around 3:45 a.m. on the E. 3900 block of Broadway.

They said the driver of a car crossed over the center line, striking the semi-truck.  Medics rushed the passenger in the semi-truck to a local hospital with serious injuries.  The driver of the car was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center with minor injuries.  The semi-truck driver was not injured.

Authorities said the driver of the car will be cited for DUI and booked on a local misdemeanor warrant when doctors release them from the hospital.
