SPOKANE-- A Spokane staple has abruptly closed after 32 years in business.

A sign on the door at C.I. Shenanigans explains the restaurant is closed because of the Convention Center expansion.

C.I. Shenanigans was located in downtown Spokane by the Doubletree Hotel.

An employee confirmed the closure to KREM 2 News Sunday afternoon, and said 40 workers lost their jobs.

The company that owns the restaurant could not be reached by phone Sunday.
