JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Missouri's insurance agency says it is just the second in the nation to give consumers an online example of insurance policies available in the state.
The state Insurance Department has posted sample homeowners' and auto policies on its website from most of the leading insurance suppliers. The goal is to provide a one-stop shopping site for insurance consumers.
The companies listed on the department's website account for about 80 percent of the market share in Missouri.
The agency says that Nevada was the first state to provide sample insurance policies online.
