SPOKANE, Wash. --- Parking became a bit of an issue for those attending Pig Out in the Park in Spokane over the Labor Day Weekend because of all the construction happening, event attendees said Monday.
While people headed to the 37th annual Pig Out in the Park in droves, this year was a little different than previous years.
Construction near the popular event caused parking issues and made it difficult to maneuver through the park.
Visitors said the construction put a damper on things, but in the end, it would all be worth it.
“[The event is] a little bit worse but you just learn to deal with it,” said Martha Newman, who attended the event. “It's just to create new things.”
Detour signs and fences could be seen everywhere around the area.
Despite the construction, thousands of people still gathered together to enjoy the annual event.
