SPOKANE -- Nothing can stop the owner of a Spokane rental company who is now starting from scratch after a fire devastated her business.
The owner of T&R Rentals, Pat Bradley, is one incredible woman. She just opened up her new shop on Division and Shannon less than a month ago after a fire destroyed her business. Just two days later, with a paper towel for a sign, she was back to work.
Everything in her new store is brand new, including the building. It now includes a showroom which is something Pat has always dreamed of. It has been a long and expensive four months to get the business built from the ground up.
"It was $27,000 in new tables, $17,000 in new chairs. We're over $30,000 in new linens. We're up to about 40 or 50 colors," said Bradley.
But not everything was so easily replaced.
"The search for some of the stuff. I really didn't think we were going to be able to find it. Just keep looking and looking and thank God for the internet," said Bradley.
And she's finding them just in time. Bradley says she is seeing a lot of parties coming back and people calling saying they are so glad she is back in business. And Bradley is already booking up for next summer's weddings. Pat says it's really the weddings, and more importantly the brides, that have gotten her back on her feet so quickly.
"It was heartbreaking to see all of those linens so damaged and burnt and worried about replacing them. But now I know their tables are going to look as good as they did before," said Bradley.
